Laborer – Mower

POSITION: Laborer Mower

SUMMARY

Areas of Responsibility include: 
Daily Mowing routes distributed
Communications between office, customers, and mowers
Maintain Relationships with customers and mowers
Maintain Mowing Equipment

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Oversight of Mowing Route

  1. Distribute Mowing Routes 
    • Make sure mowers get out the door
    • Make sure equipment is good
    • Make sure routes get done daily, turned in 
    • Tools/Equipment availability for each job
  2. Ensure efficient execution of each customer, includes:
    • Mowing, trimming, edging and blowing
    • Arrange appropriate equipment and make sure in working order 
    • Confirms all aspects of daily route is satisfied
  3. Daily Reporting:
    • Make sure mowing gets posted 
    • Reschedule any job you couldn’t get to
    • Reconcile daily routes to make sure none are lost.
  4. Training
    • Training of new hires
    • Training of employees who need extra help

COMMUNICATIONS

  1. Maintain communications with customers
    • Call logs
    • Rescheduling
  2. Maintain communications with Mowers 
  3. Maintain communications with Owner
    • Any/all required communication

MAINTAIN RELATIONSHIPS

  1. Customers
  2. Office Staff
  3. Co-workers
  4. Management

Qualifications/Requirements

Education/Licenses

  • Driver’s license
  • Preferred Highschool diploma
  • DOT Physical (if required)

Experience

  • Subject Expertise: Awareness of Lawncare protocols and equipment
  • Statutory Expertise: Awareness of local, state, and federal regulations and procedures
  • Commercial & Residential: One to Two years experience

Skills

  • Excellent Communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (tact/diplomacy, friendly, positive attitude)
  • Strong customer relations skills (build rapport and confidence)

  • Awareness of lawn care and equipment
